Windows Window Medic provides a comprehensive commercial and domestic window refurbishment and restoration programme, as a cost effective alternative to premature replacement due to water ingress, defective weather/gasket seals, failure of opening mechanisms; locks and hinges, health and safety requirements or because of defective double glazed units.
The level of refurbishment works undertaken varies from an initial clean and surface restoration, to a complete survey, strip-down and repair/replacement of defective glazing and all associated components.
Both modern and period restorations are undertaken. Upon completion, windows will be watertight, fully operational and comply with all current Health and Safety legislations.

Glass Many people are not aware of glass that may have been installed to their home even as little as 5 years ago has now been superseded by far more superior products.
Available now is a glass commonly known as "Low E glass" ( Soft and Hard Coat ) which when used in your home makes your home more energy efficient and thus reducing fuel bills, and thinking longer term more environmentaly friendly.
Also a big must for anyone who has any double glazed doors older than 10 -12 years should think seriously about having the glass checked by us to confirm that safety glass has been used. This is a totally free service and would take no longer than 5 minutes for us to check for you.
When UPVC windows were first introduced to the Domestic market the safety glass that was used then was not the standard 4mm glass, but 6mm glass. Although tougher, when broken would still result in dangerous shards of glass leading to obvious safety implications. This can very simply be changed to a kite marked sealed unit at a small cost compared with replacing the whole door.
